Business Referral Policy

The policy is designed to offer incentives to businesses and individuals for referring prospective clients to RHL Associates. We believe referrals to be an excellent method for building business and seek to encourage people to promote the benefits of using RHL Associates.

What is a referral?

A referral is where you introduce us to a business or individual that you believe will benefit from working with us. Ideally, you will provide a personal introduction, but you may provide contact details for follow up after you have had an initial conversation with a contact and we are able to refer to your recommendation of RHL Associates.

Referrals must be genuine and ethically generated. We are seeking high quality contacts that we are able to develop ongoing business relationships with.

What is the incentive?

We will pay a 10% referral commission based on the day rate charges applicable to specific business commissioned within 90 days of the initial referral. So if a project was invoiced for 3 days at an agreed rate of £1000.00 per day, the commission applicable would be £300.00.

How is it paid?

Referral commission becomes payable on receipt of payment from the client. It will be paid within 14 days of payment receipt, either by BAC’s (bank transfer) or by cheque.

Exclusions

Referral commission is not applicable for existing clients, or clients who are already established prospects of RHL Associates.

Commission is only paid on agreed day rate charges – it is not paid on any other invoiced amounts such as VAT, travel costs, accommodation or materials.

Commission will not be paid to parties able to materially influence the purchasing decision of the parties involved. In our view this would not be ethical.

Finally

Referral commission is a one-time payment. Additional business generated with a client, outside the initial 90 day referral period does not attract commission.

Commission received is effectively earned income and it is the responsibility of the receiver to declare payments received to the appropriate tax authorities.
